In a recent summary of Columbia & shuttle in general you hear people say shuttle could not
1. Be fixed
2. Can't get us into next era
3. Too dangerous
4 . Needed extensive re certification
All of the above is incorrect, grossly in error.
Also, where is the American "let's get it done" attitude. It seems to be missing.
The American people need to demand an equivalent shuttle design be built on a crash basis.
America has lost the most capable vehicle ever with no replacement in sight at a time when the USA should be utilizing the capability, improving the capability. We are ceding space capability to other countries. Shuttle termination will cost the USA a significant amount & maybe our freedom!!!
