Subject: FW: CYGNUS UPDATE: Rendezvous no earlier than Saturday with Soyuz on track for Wednesday launch to docking...

Official word from PAO

The key words are "no earlier than" Saturday for Orbital's Cygnus cargo spacecraft rendezvous & berthing to ISS. The highway around the station is going to be crowded this week as Cygnus loiters and awaits the launch and docking Wednesday of the next Soyuz delivering three new crew members to augment the Expedition 37 crew.

Cygnus originally was expected to arrive early Sunday morning and potentially again Tuesday morning, but some unexpected signatures from its flight computers today led managers to regroup, step back and replan while the Soyuz countdown to launch gets underway following the rocket's rollout to Site 1 at Baikonur for launch at 3:58 pm Central (4:58 EDT) Wednesday.

Cygnus will remain in a coelliptical orbit at a safe distance until the team can discuss options for a rendezvous attempt potentially late in the week.

Look for a Soyuz single-day, four-orbit launch-to-docking timeline Tuesday for the Soyuz TMA-10M delivering Russian Cosmonauts Oleg Kotov, Sergey Ryazanskiy and U.S. Astronaut Michael Hopkins to the ISS. An on-time launch puts them arriving at the station about 9:48 pm Central (10:48 EDT) Wednesday.
