Lots of people/organizations have great ideas about what the USA should be doing in space. Returning to moon, adapting x37 to provide manned access, getting space x manned sooner than 2017 are a few.
But, nothing will happen until we get congress people who support USA preeminence.
Everybody reading this should contact a local & national media person every day demanding coverage of the destruction of our capabilities & unbelievable waste that is taking place.
Imagine what it would be like if the national & local media harped on all of the advantage of the reusable spacecraft like the shuttle plus the RMS, emu, airlock, large payload bay plus the 30 years experience we have with the system as compared to what the cots ( space x, Dreamchaser, etc) capabilities are. Also, the amount of funds that have been wasted. Additionally, we could properly support ISS & service Hubble.
