NASA Sets Coverage for Spacewalks to Repair Faulty Station Pump NASA TV will provide coverage of the upcoming spacewalks by Expedition 38 Flight Engineers Rick Mastracchio and Mike Hopkins to replace a faulty Pump Module on the starboard truss of the International Space Station.   NASA currently plans for the spacewalks to occur on Dec. 21, 23 and, if necessary, Dec. 25. Mastracchio and Hopkins will remove the degraded pump that has a failed valve and will replace it with an existing spare that is stored on an external stowage platform. The pump is associated with one of the station's two external cooling loops, which circulate ammonia outside the station to keep both internal and external equipment cool. The first spacewalk is scheduled for Saturday with a start time of 6:10 a.m. Central time. NASA TV coverage will begin at 5:15 a.m. The following spacewalks will also begin at 6:10 a.m. with NASA TV coverage starting at 5:15 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday.   By scheduling the spacewalks, NASA and Orbital Sciences postponed the launch of Orbital's Antares rocket and the Cygnus resupply ship to the station until January on the first commercial cargo mission for Orbital.   JSC, Ellington Field, Sonny Carter Training Facility and White Sands Test Facility team members with wired computer network connections can also view NASA TV using the JSC EZTV IP Network TV System on channels 404 (standard definition) or 4541 (HD). Please note: EZTV currently requires using Internet Explorer 32bit on a Windows PC connected to the JSC computer network with a wired connection. Mobile devices, Wi-Fi connections and newer MAC computers are currently not supported by EZTV.
