A huge stainless steel image of the space shuttle program emblem was added to the collection of monuments over the weekend at Space View Park in Titusville.

A crane lifted the 5-ton piece into place at the shuttle monument Saturday.

The 15-foot shuttle emblem sits on top of an 8-foot tall concrete-block base, where six black granite sections will be installed. The sections will feature orbiters and depict space workers.

Monument dedication is scheduled for Nov. 1.
