Considering the importance of earth orbit capabilities, & the capability of shuttle type vehicle to place & return large payloads from earth orbit, don't you find it strange that we can eliminate our capabilities, toss in cots & talk about how great the commercial effort is going to be AND dream on.
The hard facts are:
The only way to regain our preeminence is an equivalent vehicle to shuttle. Cots, SLS will not work. This will not occur until we get new leadership at Whitehouse, NASA . Cernan analyses Bolden/ bho correctly. Re: genecernan.com.
