I want to change people's minds about the importance of space security. The Space Force, I do believe, is important. Space is no longer this benign, secure environment. NASA has astronauts at risk. And beyond that, the United States of America and our citizens are entirely dependent on space—the way we communicate; the way we navigate; the way we produce food; the way we produce energy; the way we do disaster relief, national security, and defense; the way we predict weather; the way we understand our changing planet; and ultimately—this is an important one—even to conduct banking in this country. Every banking transaction requires a GPS signal for timing. Within three days there's no milk in the grocery store. That's an existential threat.
