Control of Earth orbit & Missile Defense
Additionally, we better maintain control of earth orbit, all of our orbiting hardware needs protection & the capability to defend against high altitude attacks from incoming missiles. ( including EMP). Spending money on moon/ Mars should only occur after earth orbit capabilities are assured. Shuttle equivalent capability is part of it. Hopefully , Space Force is working on this. With present Congress, wonder about if funding will be provided !
