RSC Energia held a training session for the crew in the Multipurpose Laboratory Module
April 4, 2013.

A training session for the crew in the Multipurpose Laboratory ModuleS.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia held another regular training session under the program of training the crews for the International Space Station.
During the period of April 2 through 4 RSC Energia specialists got Russian cosmonauts O. Kononenko, Y. Lonchakov, A. Ovchinin, A. Shkaplerov, O. Artemiev, A. Samokutiyaev, A. Skvortsov, Y. Serova, O. Kotov, S. Ryazansky, M. Suraev and M. Tyurin familiarized with с the design and interiors of the Multipurpose Laboratory Module "Nauka" ("Science"), which is being processed at the company in accordance with the schedule of factory checkout tests.

RSC Energia held a training session for the crew in the Multipurpose Laboratory Module

S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia held another regular training session under the program of training the crews for the International Space Station (ISS).

During the period of April 2 through 4 RSC Energia specialists got Russian cosmonauts O. Kononenko, Y. Lonchakov, A. Ovchinin, A. Shkaplerov, O. Artemiev, A. Samokutiyaev, A. Skvortsov, Y. Serova, O. Kotov, S. Ryazansky, M. Suraev and M. Tyurin familiarized with с the design and interiors of the Multipurpose Laboratory Module "Nauka" ("Science"), which is being processed at the company in accordance with the schedule of factory checkout tests.

In the course of the familiarization session the cosmonauts have made a number of suggestions aimed at improving their in-flight working conditions onboard the module. The Corporation specialists took note of the suggestions, which may be taken into account in the course of further work on the module.

  1. RSC Energia is the prime manned space flight organization in the Russian rocket and space industry, responsible for the development of the ISS Russian Segment (RS), its integration into the Space Station and its operation, including development and operation of the principal modules of the Segment (Zvezda, Pirs, Poisk, Rassvet, Nauka etc.), manufacturing, launch and operation of Soyuz TMA and Progress M spacecraft.
  2. The Multi-Purpose Laboratory Module is scheduled to be added to the space station in by the end of 2013.
